2019-20 ENRICHMENT CLASSES

Our interdisciplinary enrichment classes are designed for students in grades 6–12 to expand their learning, build creative skills, and grow their personal voice and portfolio. Students explore many media and forms of expression with our licensed teachers. All students are welcome in our classes as we personalize class experiences for everyone!

WINTER 2020 ENRICHMENT CLASS SCHEDULE 

 Crobage: Crochet

with Found Materials

High School, gr. 9–12

Class Fee: $100 per student ($80 for students who bring their own crochet hook and skein of yarn.)

Description: Learn both the basics of crochet and how to make your own yarn from a variety of free materials you likely already have at home!

Supplies: A crochet hook, a skein of yarn, and found materials such as plastic bags, old t-shirts, wire, cords, etc.

 Watercolor Printmaking

Middle & High School, gr. 6–12

Class Fee: $125 per student

Description: Believe it or not, watercolors make great printing inks! Learn how

to apply them to block prints to create

a unique monoprint that can push your printmaking into a whole new direction.

 Expert Smartphone Photography

Class Fee: $60 per student

Description: Gain confidence using

your smartphone to take amazing photos for personal and portfolio use without needing to rely on filters or excessive editing. Students must bring their own smartphone to both sessions.

 Embroidery: Find Your

Niche, Learn to Stitch!

Middle & High School, gr. 7–12

Class Fee: $120 per student ($100 for students who bring their own embroidery hoops, needles, thread and fabric.)

Description: You can make so much more than grandma's tea towels! Learn

to stitch a cool patch and add your own flair to clothes and accessories! 

Supplies: Embroidery hoops, needles, embroidery thread, fabric, and iron transfer paper.

 Painting with Colored Pencils

Middle & High School, gr. 6–12

Class Fee: $120 per student ($100 for students who bring their own artist quality colored pencils such as Faber-Castell or Prismacolor. No Crayola or Rose Art colored pencils please!)

Description: Learn advanced blending, hatching, burnishing, rubbing, scraping and mixed-media techniques so you can use colored pencils like a pro to render stunning realistic and abstract drawings.
